Come join Jo, Lesley and Pam as we enjoy 2021 The World of WearableArt (WOW) Show.
WOW is New Zealand’s single largest theatrical production and a not-to-be-missed annual event for an audience of around 60,000 people. At the heart of each theatrical spectacular is a coveted competition for designers across the world working in radical and innovative ways in the mediums of fashion, art, design and costume. Their incredible works of wearable art come to life on stage as part of the six different worlds that make up each year’s WOW Show.
This year, expect to journey through a world inspired by the Elizabethan Era, find yourself mesmerised as the stage explodes in a visual symphony of colour in the Monochromatic world, and be amazed as we see the human body used as an architectural canvas in the Architecture Section. Alongside these worlds are three other distinct sections: Avant-garde, Aotearoa and Open. This year, enter another world and lose yourself in the unmissable 2021 WOW Show.
As with all the previous WOW tours, on the night of the WOW show, we start the evening with dinner, followed by the WOW show and conclude the evening with desert, of course, bubbles is a must.
Accommodation, breakfasts, lunch and dinners are all included, along with transport to/from Wellington Airport, WOW show and activity in Wellington.
Tell me about the photography?
This weekend, we will concentrate on the art of Street Photography and as always, all levels of photography expertise are catered for (digital and smart phones) and beginners are VERY welcome. Lesley offers a great learning environment with expert guidance, instruction and personal attention. You will leave with increased confidence, motivation, inspiration and having met some new photography BFFs. If there is time on Friday night, we will head out for a spot of light trail photography, a short walk from our hotel.
