Come join us as we explore the culinary delights of one of New Zealand’s most picturesque region, known for its abundance of seafood, gourmet food, world class wines, not to mention long hot summers and blue-skied winters.

All levels of photography expertise are catered for (digital and smart phones) and beginners are VERY welcome. Lesley offers a great learning environment with expert guidance, instruction and personal attention. You will leave with increased confidence, motivation, inspiration and having met some new photography BFFs.

Friday – arrive early into Blenheim and join Jo and Lesley.   Then off we go, heading to Havelock and Blenheim.  Along the way Lesley will work with you on your camera settings, giving you tips and advice plus answer any of your photography questions.  Lots of landscape photographic opportunities today.

Along the way we visit one of Blenheim’s local artists before arriving in the historic town of Havelock also known as the Greenshell Mussel Capital of the world.

Dinner tonight is at Arbour with Mike from Meaters who will be providing us an insight into the preparation and origin of our food we are being served.

Acccommodation: Hotel d’Urville

Saturday – before breakfast, an early start this morning for a sunrise long exposure seascape photographic opportunity, then we are off to Picton, heading by road and boat to The Portage where we submerge ourself into nature and enjoy a rustic landscape of native bush which has an abundance of unique wildlife.

Lunch today is seafood at Paua Pearl, followed by a short tour.

Don’t forget to pack something to wear in the pool so you can sit and soak in your surroundings.  Amazing photographic opportunities with the long exposure and astro photography tonight.

Accommodation: The Portage

Tonight at The Portage we are in for a special treat as we get to experience Jo cooking up a feast showcasing local produce and why not learn the art of food photography.

Sunday – before we head off, up early for sunrise and long exposure seascape photographic opportunities.  No tour would be complete without visiting a local market, today we head to the Blenheim Farmers Markets, along the way Lesley will take you through the art of Street Photography.

Lunch today is at Wairau River Wines, where we get to, of course sample the local wines with our meal – why not put in place your food photography knowledge?

After lunch we are heading to one of Marlborough’s lighthouses for an amazing photography session – who hasn’t wanted to take a photo of a lighthouse?

Dinner tonight is at our hotel.

Accommodation:  Hotel d’Urville

Monday – after breakfast you have an opportunity to shop and look around Blenheim or for those who are interested, Lesley will be running a photography workshop on photo processing and tuition on Lightroom selective colour.

Head home in the afternoon.
